The Key to Success is to Get Up Early

Today was another great day. I only had one hour of business core (which was so nice) so I went to go buy a finance book (pronounced "fin ants" not "fine ants"). When I got done, Meagan called and said she got a job. That was good news since she was worried about finding one. It sounds like it will be good. We will be able to see each other at school so that is nice. She is smart and I am sure she will do well with her new job. 

I had an inspiring class today taught by Brother Richie.  He told us the formula for success and said he was living proof of that formula. The first part of the formula was to get up early. We have been getting up at 5:30 am to go swim like Mike Phelps so we are on our way to success! But seriously, it was a great class. It made me appreciate the opportunities I have to study and qualify my self to face the world and make a difference. I love Aloha Friday!

I Wanna Be Like Mike ....

The olympics were so much fun to watch! When I was in Idaho it was the highlight of my day. I found myself glued to the TV every evening watching the events. Swimming and Gymnastics were my favorite events. The athletes are inspiring, they made me want to get in shape and do something productive. So since I am not much of a gymnast, I thought I would try being a swimmer. I started going over the the YMCA everyday and swimming laps. That died when I went to Arizona to visit Jordan. We would swim everyday but it was usually just to cool down. 

But this morning Jordan and I got up at 5:30 and went to the pool at BYU. I was shocked at how many people were actually up at 5:30 a.m. and already at the pool swimming. We even saw Jordan's cousin Ashley and friend Lindsay! So, we are now officially going to TRY to live the Michael Phelps Lifestyle every morning at 5:30 .... London 2012 here we come! 

First ... Day of School, Interview, and BLOG!

Today is the first day of school for Jordan. Summer is over. This is the first semester that I haven't had to go to classes. It feels kind of strange (but great) to be at home, when Jordan and all of my roommates are gone to school.

Now ... I just need to find a job. Yesterday I went to my first post graduation job interview. It was for an internal auditing position at the school. Things went well but, he said that he had some previous employees that were going to be coming back to the island and they would have priority for the position over me. But I should be hearing from him later on this week. I have been working on some other job applications and I guess working on the blog too! Marni loves blogging so she inspired me :)  

I have also kind of been working on some wedding planning. I keep changing my mind about having a reception. Somedays I think that it is a great idea and others it just sounds so much better to have a nice luncheon and then be on our way. I guess we still have quite a few months to decide. But Some ideas we have for a reception is to do an italian soda bar (like dusty & julie did), cup cakes, and then a little candy bar i guess you could call it .... I found this picture on some wedding website and fell in love with the idea. 

It is so wonderful to be back in Hawaii ... We Love it here!
