It seems like everyone these days is a photographer.

Phil and Jessica Waite

Congratulations.
Thanks for letting us share your special day with you!
We are so happy for you two.

i love zion

On Friday we met up with Jordan's sister Natalie.
We heard there were fireworks at Liberty Park in Salt Lake.
So we went to the park expecting a pleasant mormon pioneer day family fun adventure.

Lets just say it wasn't quite what we expected.
To our delight we saw more PDA, tattoos, piercings, foul language, smoking, etc. than I have ever seen in any one location
... all in the heart of Zion.
I will spare you the photos ... except this one:
Notice the girl cooling off in the fountain
at one point she was even trying to climb up it.

Happy Pioneer Day!

Flake or Fluke?

At the "bruncheon" for Jessica and Phil's wedding our last name was spelled wrong on the name card and just when I thought that our last name couldn't get any worse, we became Jordan and Meagan Fluke.
Which would you prefer?

I love being a Flake, I am lucky to be a part of the Flake family.

On The Open Road

Living in Hawaii doesn't provide us with many road trip opportunities.
It only takes about 2 hours to get around the whole island.
So we had a blast driving to Utah this weekend.

We made our first stop in Jerome, ID to change drivers
and get to get Sonic third stop since we've been home. Hawaii when are you gonna get a Sonic?

We made our second stop in Willard, UT to see Ted's families fruit stand
We loved Pettingill's ...
The best apricots of my life.
The drive was great.
The wedding events were even better.
But that'll be the next post :)

Natalie's Birthday Adventure

Thursday was my sister Natalie's birthday.
To celebrate we all went rafting on the Cabarton section of the Payette River.
I LOVE RAFTING!
It is one of my favorite things to do while I am home.

Here we are with the birthday girl ...

Natalie & Kylie
The Payette River
Isn't Idaho Beautiful?
A rafting trip isn't complete unless you wait in construction for about an hour.
While we waited we ate some snacks, took some pictures & listened to the Beach Boys.
Here is the bridge they have been working on for like the past three summers.
We floated right under it.
A birthday at the Williams' house isn't complete without a Dairy Queen Ice Cream Cake.
So we came home got settled & dug in!
yummy.
Happy 20th Birthday Natalie!

Family Fun at Hukilau

Since I haven't been working this week blogging hasn't been a priority.
But I have some free time so I am going to try and catch up.

These are some photos from our last beach time with Erika & Debbie
just a few hours before we got on the plane
We are very excited to be in Idaho & Utah this week, we have had a great time so far. But I know I will be sad when I get back to Hawaii and Debbie & Erika are gone. It has been a lot of fun to eat meals together, go to the beach & movies together, play five crowns together, and just get to know each other better. Thanks for coming! It was an awesome way to spend the summer.
We love & miss you!

North Shore

We have had a very fun & busy summer.
Debbie & Erika have been in Hawaii nearly all summer.
We have had a lot of fun spending time with them.
They left Hawaii on Friday, so when we get back from Idaho they will be gone. :(
So before we left we tried to pack in some final adventures.
Matsumoto's Shave Ice
Check out that long line ... it's worth the wait.
Speaking of long lines ... does the "turtle traffic" drive anyone else crazy?
Snorkeling at Shark's Cove

Erika napping on the way home.
