More Potential Projects

Check this Boise Craigslist find out:
Just $25 for the mirror & dresser

I wish I knew for sure if we will be living in mainland China or mainland USA.

it's goin' down ...

Do you know how expensive furniture is?
Even the crappy stuff on Craigslist that has cigarette burn holes and cat claw marks is a billion dollars.
Maybe that's an exaggeration, but I have been cruising the Internet looking for furniture lately...
Trying to prepare for our move, even though we don't know where we are going.
But I guess to me having furniture is more important than having a place to put it.

Next week Jordan and I are going on individual vacations ...
Jordan: Texas for a newspaper conference
Meagan: Idaho to visit family

So I have been checking out the Boise Craigslist
and I found some great items ...
I know the picture is microscopic, but its what the seller posted.
But I can already see lots of potential.
If the sofa is still available, I am going to turn it into something like this:

if the sofa isn't available perhaps these 2 wing back chairs will be ...

So basically, be on the look out... a re-upholstery project is going down next week

Surprise!

Let me tell you about our Fridge.
She is very elderly, she even has age spots (aka rust)
However, I cannot complain because she has ran fine the entire time we have lived in TVA.
One day, I called the office to ask if I could paint over the rust spots
(I didn't go into detail with them on how I wanted to paint it, I was trying to be sneaky ...
if they said yes I was planning on doing some variation this or this)
But they said No, they would do it themselves.
That was a few months ago ... and nothing happened.
I figured maintenance forgot about us and our ugly fridge ... typical.

Today at work I was g-chatting Jordan.
He told me there was a surprise at home for me.
I am terrible with surprises so I tried to get information from him.
All he said was its white and get on g-chat to get instructions when I home.

This is what I came home to
My old fridge moved into our family room area
and a brand new fridge in her place
We aren't sure why we got it, but ...
Hallejuah!

Now can someone take care of our termites?

Chinese Class

I have my very first Chinese class today.
If things go Jordan's way we will be headed to China, so I figure I better at least learn the basics.
Wish me Luck!

Framed TV

So its too bad it would cost me $107 dollars to ship my mirror (see below) to the mainland...
Because I just found a brilliant idea on how to use it's frame.
Check this out:
All you've got to do is ...
-Find an Ornate Frame on Craigslist
-Spray Paint Frame to Match Wall Color
-Mount Flat Screen TV inside Frame
So easy, So unique, So cool.
One Day.

Ketch-up

A few weeks ago my Dad and sister came out for a visit
Well my sister stayed for school and my Dad just came to drop her off & play
Unfortunately, he brought the swine flu with him ...
But we did get to play a little bit.

We went to Beautiful Waimea
Jordan played beached whale & brought home gallons of sandI finished Twilight (I know I am way behind, It took me a while to give in and get on the bandwagon) The Elders Quorum had a net fishing activity so Jordan took my dad along.
They loved it and caught lots of fish.

And last week we went to Haliewa to celebrate Clark's Birthday!
And now I am mostly caught up!

We are enjoying our last semester at BYU-Hawaii.
Trying to make the most of our last few months here.

Holy Crud ...

Today at work (I was bored as usual) I went to ESPN.com to check the latest college football standings
and holy crud, can you believe it ... my alma mater, Boise State is ranked No. 5
Boise State is coming to UH October 25, 2009
We had planned on going ... and I just realized it is a SUNDAY
So what do you think, should we attend the church of the Broncos?

Update: I guess ESPN.com got the schedule wrong ... the game is the Saturday the 24th!
So, we are totally going!
