Last Stop: Amsterdam
Amsterdam is truly the city of bikes ...
Bikers were EVERYWHERE.
Even in the cold & snow.
They rule the town.
So naturally my mom was in heaven ...
Bike Rack/Parking Garage in Amsterdam
If it weren't for the other fine things that the fine city is known for (i.e. hookers, weed) it might be the perfect place for my family to relocate to.
Day 1 we toured the Anne Frank house.
The Anne Frank House was amazing!
My favorite part of Amsterdam, by far.
I learned so much about her when I was in school, so its was a neat experience to see where it all took place.
Inside the house, this quote from her journal was printed on the wall:
"I long to ride a bike, dance, whistle, look at the world, to feel young and know that I'm free ..."
I feel so blessed to have freedom of religion.
After the tour, we ate some delicious dutch pancakes.
Made a new dutch Friend Aart.
Took a Canal Cruise.
A little shopping.
Winter Carnival #4 of 4

We found our Pub!
I am so lucky to have gotten to take this trip with my mom and sisters
Day 2 was a blizzard & we were freezing cold!
We spent it exploring the streets, as long as we cold stand it.
Eating some more pancakes.
Visiting Rijksmusem.
Riding public transportation to see the city, but mainly to keep warm.
Amsterdam really is an adorable town ...
I loved the little streets, bike lanes, canals, house boats, canal houses, & pancakes.
I'd love to go back for a day or two in the spring when its not so cold & the tulips are in bloom.
