I have mentioned before that we have termites in our apartment.
I just consider it a Luxury Tax.
The price we pay to live in paradise.
But Check it out, this is a pile of cupboard dust/termite poo that was found behind our microwave right before we left on vacation:

Gross, right?
Yeah I have had enough.
Good thing is ... I think that they are gone for good.
Yesterday, while I was home for lunch I noticed a little trail of ants crawling around these pictures.
When I looked a little closer I noticed they were crawling on the frame of the picture of Jesus.
I guess I can't blame them for wanting to be near to Jesus ... but I got out the raid and sprayed.
So I took apart all the layers of the frame.
And I hit the jackpot ... if you want to call it that.
There was SOO SOO many bugs.
This is just one layer and it doesn't do it justice.
I used a whole can of raid. But the good news is since I sprayed them all and threw away the frame I haven't seen any.
Awesome!

Also for those of you who live in Hawaii and raid is a part of your day-to-day life ...
Have you ever noticed that it is called "Country Fresh" scent?
Are you kidding me?
I was dry heaving while I sprayed it all over my house yesterday.

Hawaiian bugs are the opposition in all things in Paradise
lol that is the raid I have!! I use it often but not so much for termites..more for ROACHES and Spiders..we are so fortunate that they have designed a "country scent" so that even though we ingest the fumes and could possibly kick the bucket because of the toxins at lest our house will smell good right?? I am with ya on the luxury tax deal!
Your brave... I probably would have let the eat it until James got home... that's so gross!
That is really gross. Also, I need your address so I can send you an invitiation!
a smilar situation happened to me the other day. Ant trail from the front room window, over the wall, across the floor, to the kitchen sink. I started to spray and it was 'lemon scent' and aaron swore he was going to die from the fumes so we played ping pong outside till it cleared out.
bugs. yuck!
glad you found the source though, that will teach them!
