Beach Day

It was hard, but we finally broke out of our Disney routine and did something different this weekend. We loaded up our bikes and headed down to the beach. We parked at Venice Beach and road our bikes down the boardwalk to the Santa Monica pier. Once we got to the pier we walked around a bit, checked out the freaks, held a bird ... the usual. Then laid out our towels, played in the sand and the water. After playing for awhile at the beach we got back on our bikes and headed back toward our car, stopping at the play ground and for lunch at lemonade. The food was delicious and it was so nice to be at the beach again, days like this we love living here in California... until we got on the freeway and realized there was going to be a 75 minute delay. We figured if it was going to take us so long to get home, we might as well make the most of it and look at something other than cars and freeway, so we got off the freeway and drove down Santa Monica Boulevard, It took us a little longer to get home but it was fun to see some different neighborhoods of LA and of course the beautiful LA Temple.
