The weekend before Easter our ward had a Primary Easter party. Milo had a great time eating sugar cookies, playing with his friends, and having an egg hunt. He loved hunting the eggs, but he only wanted to pick up blue ones. I kept pointing eggs out to him but if they weren't blue he would pass them up. Silly boy!
The Saturday before Easter we headed to an Easter party at the LA Zoo. We should have known better, but it was absolutely nuts! It was only for zoo members so we thought it might not be too big of a crowd, but we were wrong. We still had fun though, we collected goodie bags and saw the Easter bunny. Then we just headed to the playground and carousel. At the park, Milo decided that he wanted to try some of the candy from the zoo. I looked in his bag and they had given the kids "extreme sour warheads" so I tried to explain to Milo that he wasn't going to like it, but he couldn't be convinced so I gave it to him and it ended as expected... Later that night we told him it was time to go to bed so the Easter bunny could bring his treats and he nervously asked, "Will it be candy like at the zoo?"
^ check out that hand hold, cutest thing ever!
I had so much fun putting together the boys Easter baskets this year, it was fun to collect little things that I thought they would enjoy. Milo was really starting to understand the Easter Bunny concept so it was really fun. Milo also really enjoyed listening to the stories about the Last Supper, Garden of Gethsemane, Crucifixion, and Resurrection even a week later he still asks to read those scripture stories each night. It is really amazing how much he can remember, he is so smart. It is so much fun to see him getting excited about the gospel.
After checking out Easter baskets and eating Easter bunny cinnamon rolls we got dressed in our Easter best and headed to church. Erika and Brandon decided kind of last minute to come over for Easter dinner, so shortly after church they arrived. We decided to do a steak dinner instead of a traditional ham meal. We had fun visiting with them for the short trip, Milo was thrilled to have his Uncle Brandon visiting, I don't think he left him alone for the entire time they were here. I loved celebrating Easter with my little family and building traditions with them.
