Happy 4th of July!

^ I wonder if Milo is enjoying this photo shoot haha

Growing up I spent most of my 4th of July's in Cascade, Idaho. The day was usually filled with a small town parade, swimming, four wheeler rides, BBQ, and fireworks over the lake. I also remember having a tailgating party in an open field with my cousins, watching fireworks and eating root beer floats. Living away from family and in LA changes things... so when it came down to our 4th of July festivities we weren't sure what to do. Most of our friends were traveling to be with family, so we decided to get out and explore a part of California that we hadn't seen before.

When the boys woke up we dressed them in their Red, White, & Blue and took a few pictures. Then we came back home and headed North toward Santa Barbara. We stopped at some outlet malls and did a little bit of shopping and ate some In-n-Out (What is more American than a hamburger & fries?) We decided that we would just go through the drive-thru, but once we got our food we realized it was going to be a little tricky to eat in the car and help Milo. So we just pulled over in a neighborhood and couldn't help but laugh at our non-scenic picnic spot, but we had a great time. Then we headed up the coast further to Santa Barbara, once we got to Santa Barbara we found some parking and started walking. They had state street closed off to vehicles, they had some bands playing, people biking ... we walked down to the beach and had a good time enjoying the sand, water, and weather. After a few hours we decided it would be best for us to head back to LA to avoid getting stuck in traffic and getting home at 2 am. As we pulled into Glendale it was just about 9pm ... we could see fireworks shooting off all over LA. So we kept driving, we headed toward the Rose Bowl and we ended up seeing a great firework show while driving & parked on the side of 210. We had a great day together & that's what its all about. Thanks for the day off, America... We love you!
