^ quite possibly the cutest picture I've ever seen.

I am not sure how it happened but ... Milo turned three years old on Saturday! We had both sets of Grandparents, Natalie & Edward, and Brandon & Erika all in town to celebrate Milo's birthday and Luca's blessing which was on Sunday. Milo's one and only request for his birthday was to eat at Hook Burger (our favorite Burger restaurant) and to sit by Uncle Brandon. So Saturday morning he opened up his presents. Played with his new scooter for a bit. Then we headed to Santa Monica beach. After playing at the beach for a bit we made Milo's birthday wish come true and headed to Hook Burger. Hook was super busy, but some how we snagged the whole patio. When we were almost done eating the manager came out and apologized because they were going to have to do some repairs on their soda machine and the worker would need to be by our table. So to make up for the inconvenience he offered free milkshakes to everyone. So we ate milkshakes and snag to Milo and saved his cake for our picnic the next day.
Side story: While Milo was opening his presents he had a few birthday bags that had clothes in them. Both times he just ripped out the tissue paper, threw the clothes on the floor without even looking at them, and then said "What's next" ... What a turkey!
Milo is a really sweet little boy, he truly is a really is a great kid. Lately, the Three Year Old version of him really challenges me, he is very strong willed and has turned into the master negotiator. One minute I can be ready to ring his neck and the next minute he will walk up to me unprovoked and say, "I love you mommy" ... He is sweet and sour! But mostly sweet, and all the sweetness makes up for the sour, for sure! He is too stinking smart and he is always cracking us up with the things he comes up with. He loves music, playing outside, he loves to be with "his people", he gets a little shy around people he doesn't know. His sweet little giggle makes me so happy. It has been so fun to be his mama these past three years and I can't wait (well I can wait ... please slow down) to watch him continue to grow up.
